Interventions for Children with Autism Spectrum Disorders: Promote Social Communication during Daily Activities
Anna Dvortcsak, M.S., CCC-SLP, works in private practice and provides consulting, parent training and individual speech and language services to families and children with autism. Anna is a renowned researcher, speaker and author on the efficacy of treatment methodologies for children with ASD.
Tammi Bailey, M.S., CCC-SLP, is an Adjunct Research Associate and Clinical Supervisor at Portland State University’s Department of Speech & Hearing Sciences and provides home-based speech and language services to children. She specializes in intervention for children with autism spectrum disorders (ASD) and family training.
At this free workshop, Tammi and Anna will discuss specific intervention techniques that promote social communication in children with ASD, including:
- Contemporary components of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA)
- Developmental approaches and techniques
- Application of these techniques in daily living
